Dear TRIZ Colleagues and Friends,

October 15 marks a very special occasion for all of us – the International TRIZ Day, celebrating the birthday of Genrikh Altshuller, the founder of TRIZ and one of the greatest minds of the 20th century.

This day reminds us not only of Altshuller’s genius and the legacy he left to humanity, but also of our shared mission – to continue advancing TRIZ as a powerful methodology for innovation, creativity, and problem-solving across the world.

This past year has been remarkably productive for MATRIZ Official. Among our many successful projects, we are especially proud of two major achievements:

• The International TRIZ Conference ITC-2025, held on the beautiful island of Jeju, South Korea, which brought together TRIZ professionals, researchers, and practitioners from around the globe in an inspiring and collaborative atmosphere.
• The publication of the book “It’s Hard to Be a Genius: Genrikh Altshuller Up Close”, which offers a deeper understanding of the life, challenges, and human side of TRIZ’s founder — a true tribute to his enduring influence.

These accomplishments were made possible through the dedication, creativity, and teamwork of the global TRIZ community – people who share the same passion for innovation and for making the world a better place through systematic inventive thinking.

On behalf of MATRIZ Official, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all TRIZ professionals, educators, researchers, and enthusiasts worldwide for keeping Altshuller’s spirit alive. Let us continue working together to expand TRIZ knowledge, strengthen collaboration, and inspire the next generation of innovators.

Happy International TRIZ Day!

With warm regards,

Dr. Oleg Feygenson, PhD, TRIZ Master
President – The International TRIZ Official Association (MATRIZ Official)
